#1 Reunion Meeting on April 10, 2010

On April 10th, 20 classmates gathered at the Saratoga Country Club for a luncheon meeting to discuss future plans for our class of '54. We have JoAnn Caruso Syvertson to thank for the wonderful arrangements.

Classmates gathered outside the luncheon room before being seated . That's Ken Stephenson talking to Lorelei Sagardia's husband Bob Brand.

Jean Telford Nix, Lloyd Webb, Beverly Mecklenberg and Bill Nix.

Lorelei Sagardia Brand and Lorraine Barbaria Azevedo.

Bill Kogura, Angie Brutto Geissman, Roy Frontani and wife Thelma

Roy and Thelma quizzing Beverly, who wasn't enjoying the grilling.

Betty Barone Rapisarda and friend.

Glenn Pearce and JoAnn Caruso Syvertson, who was having a good time and couldn't stop laughing. She brought the wine, and strangely one bottle was half empty. Glenn thinks he knows why.

Bob Brand and Lorelei with Lorraine and her friend Ray McCormick.

JoAnn, Lorelei and Angie.

Angie, Bill and JoAnn.

Marvin Horton and JoAnn. Marvin's still associated with the Army Corp of Engineers and has been around the world on various assignments. JoAnn was a travel agent and has been around the world, period.

Lloyd with Bill and Jean Nix. Bill brought along some lecture material just in case he was asked. He still teaches at Stanford. Lloyd retired from teaching quite a few years ago and can't believe Bill is still at it. Jean volunteers at the library and teaches old folks (like us!) how to connect to the internet. Anyone need some help?

Angie felt a song coming on, embarassing Roy and Thelma somewhat. Roy's the actual singer in this trio, soloing in church concerts with Thelma playing the piano and organ. He volunteered to sing at our next reunion!, but I talked him out of it.

Ken Stephenson came all the way from Atwater, over 2 hours away. And he was still the first one to arrive!

Leo Mauro and his wife Carolyn, Norma Achelpohl and Carlos Arevalo somehow eluded the cameras.
